I haven't taken my computer anywhere in years. Back in the day, when computer monitors still weighed a ton, we would have LAN-parties every few weeks. I've carried that 19" monitor up and down flights of stairs so fucking often. This computer has been off my desk maybe 3 times. Twice to clean it and once to take it to the shop...
I enjoyed Quake 2 and Counterstrike the most...

But yeah, besides that and moving into a new home myself, the PC stays on the desk. I used to have a HUGE honkin 20 inch (i think) Samsung monitor and that bad boy weighed easily 25+ lbs. (11.34kg). Up and down the stairs of Maniac's basement was not that pleasant. As for favorites, I'd have to go with Starcraft, Call of Duty and Call of Duty 2 as well as the amazing Half Life mod, Natural Selection.

Back in the day there was a LAN called "the Insane LAN" under a strip mall. Like 200 people showed up with computers and we played all night. They still got noise complaints for a year after it happened.
I went to one more a bit smaller in some huge church building then I lost touch with the scene.
Last time I went to a LAN was in like 2004 or so with some randoms my friend knew from the net. Smoked those noobs at CS.

Lots of good memories of the LAN parties we used to throw in my basement, everywhere else also. Especially that one at the place behind your parents house. After everyone else passed out I spent the next 4 hours playing The Sims 2.

He succeeded and it was hilarious.

Apparently this version of Starcraft installs the Bonjour protocol on your system if it doesn't find it. It has to be removed via command line if it causes you issue.
