Over the past year I've really gotten more and more into podcasts (thinking of starting my own soon ) and wanted to share a few suggestions. What do you folks like to listen to?
Last Podcast On The Left: My favorite podcast at the moment. Three guys sit around and talk about everything strange and macabre from aliens, serial killers, government conspiracies, urban legends, cults, etc. This is all done with a unique brand of dark humor. All of the topics are heavily researched and the content is always solid. They just wrapped up a four part series on L. Ron Hubbard and the Church of Scientology. One of the co-host, Henry Zebrowski, is the star of the adult swim series "Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell".
Comedy Bang Bang: This is what the TV show is based off of and it's great. Scott Aukerman has on 2 or 3 comedians each episode and it's pretty much all improv with random characters. Unlike the show, no Reggie Watts or Weird Al but it's still pretty amazing and hilarious.
Doug Loves Movies: The famous stoner, Doug Benson (star of Super High Me and The High Court) has on several comedians or sometimes filmmakers and they talk movies while playing movie related trivia games. It's always done as a live show.
The Dollop: Two comedians, Dave Anthony and Gareth Reynolds, talk about random events in history. One will tell the story to the other and the one hearing the story has no idea what it's about. The reactions are nice and genuine and these guys have some great comedy chemistry.
How Did This Get Made: Paul Scheer, Jason Mantzoukas, and June Diane Raphael host a show where they analyze bad movies. Two recent favorites of mine have been the episode on "Hackers" and "Surf Ninjas" . Sometimes they have guests on with them and they join in on the analysis.
