I know everyone and their mother raves about it, but people said the same thing about Witcher 2. I torrented Witcher 2 after people said "Its a REAL RPG and far superior to Dragon Age!". If I liked it I was going to pay full price. Spent a couple hours in Witcher 2 waiting for it to get good and it never did. I like how in the first 2 hours of the game I had the opportunity to fuck like 2 or 3 girls lol. I kept waiting for the amazing story and gameplay I heard so much about to start. Wasn't feeling it. I deleted it. List of mods for first time players, glad it supports Nexus Mods just like Skyrim/Fallout: www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/5k0zat/i_made_a_list_of_recommended_qol_mods_for/

Witcher 3 is open world, which the first 2 weren't. It's a very good game. I actually found it to be kinda similar to Dragon Age Inquisition.

Played the first Witcher for about an hour and just wasn't feeling it. I've heard that the 2nd was better and that the 3rd is the best, but I've already given up on the franchise. lol

I've only got like an hour into it so far. When I play again I am switching to my Xbox 360 controller because I read its much better.

Got it with my video card a while back and it was the GOTY edition as well. I've been playing it for at least 20-30 hours off and on and I have barely scratched the surface of it. There are side quests in this game that are longer than most main quests on other games . As for the using the 360 controller, that is DEFINITELY recommended. It's quite the game changer (pun intended).
