Watched this movie on Netflix last night and holy jeebus it was amazing! Based off of the Manga series, Gantz:0 follows a group of people that have died and wake up in a small room that looks like an empty apartment. They are then in the presence of a giant black orb that gives them orders to hunt down and kill monsters terrorizing Japan and it's people. The movie is completely CG and looks amazing!
Check out this trailer, that thankfully doesn't spoil to much of the awesomeness:

Was already recommended to me, though no Netflix here and not yet 'available' otherwise so I'll have to have some patience. Did find a 24 episode anime series and 2 live-action movies, but I'm gonna hold off on those (for the time being)...

From what little I've read online, the live action movies are garbage compared to this CG movie. Not sure about the anime series but I hear that the Manga is pretty great.

That's why I decided to holf off on the live-action movies. And I don't have time for yet another 24 episode series. I'm already watching too much stuff. I just wouldn't know where to schedule that in...
I'm expecting to see the CG movie appear before the weekend is over...

The best CGI I've ever seen in my life. Seriously? A version has shown up yesterday, though not the best yet, if nothing else shows up before the weekend I'll watch that otherwise I'll upgrade. Skimmed through it, looked alright though not that special. Is it really that remarkable a movie?

I gotta say that the CGI is truly incredible. There were several scenes that I thought the background of the shot was completely real life. To me, the story is just so unique and visually the monsters as well as the action are jaw-droppingly cool. I unfortunately had to watch this on my girlfriends little 32 inch TV but when I upgrade that bad boy soon to a nice 48-50incher, I'm re-watching this movie for sure!
edit: Also, I'd like to just make the point that this is exactly how the WoW movie should have been done. Blizzard has the most amazing cut scenes in a game and if they could have made that movie to the big screen, it could possibly have topped this flick.

Insert a 32" dildo into your butt and tell me how small it feels.

I watched some of Gantz:O on Netflix but ended up falling asleep, I'll try to watch it again tonight.
I didn't fall asleep cause I found it boring, just had a long day and was exhausted. What I did see I thought was great.

I'm still on hold. Version I got wasn't great but I decided to stick with it until about 5 minutes in when the subtitles in an exposition-heavy moment decided to only show me a sentence here and there. That was that then, turned it off and deleted. I'll wait for something better. To be honest, what I saw up to that point wasn't that impressive. Skimming through the movie, I found it to be rather ugly, with an uninteresting art style. But I'll reserve final judgement for when I can watch under much better circumstances...
