Never did understand the appeal, my thumb aches just thinking about those things. That one reminds me of an old one from 20ish years ago. Maybe it is an old one...

I used to use a trackball but the one with the ball centered on top and it was actually pretty great. I was even recruited into a highly competitive UT clan so it was every bit as good as a mouse for gaming, even playing at the highest levels.... |

I used to have a Logitech with the ball to the side that made put me right in the zone for aiming. |

If it was I would have got it years ago spending countless hours playing games online. Every person who uses one of those special mice for carpal tunnel has weighed like 300 pounds |

My wrist occasionally aches, I just don't cry about it. Some people will do anything to get on disability. Trackballs tho... legit hurt my thumb. It starts to ache almost immediately. My wrist occasionally aches, I just don't cry about it. Some people will do anything to get on disability. I've learned to used both hands equally to use the mouse so that I can alternate mouse use between each hand. Definitely helps with RSI. |
