. Apples and oranges. Those first three games are critically acclaimed, high budget AAA titles. I haven't heard much about Baldur's Gate: SoD, other than it pales in comparison to the original. It's low budget and made by a small developer (Beamdog) and uses the same game engine as the original BG. Yeah, it's not Bioware, so don't automatically assume it has a great story (unless you played it and know something I don't)... or unless you're so far left, you believe that having trans content automatically makes it great. lol I haven't heard of any trans content games besides SoD, so I googled it. I see there are a few games that have thousands of "overwhelmingly" positive reviews on Steam (Undertale, Steins;Gate, Crypt of the Necrodancer). Seems it's hardly a gamer consensus that all games with trans content suck afterall. store.steampowered.com/curator/26898915-Trans-tastic-Games/

"What if 'XYZ' was taken to an extreme?" is what they are in part based on.

I never actually finished Baldur's Gate 2. I also don't pay much attention to gamer drama these days. Its just funny how video games are overtly political and people seem to have no problem with it unless its LGBT stuff. There was another game called Gone Home that came out a few years ago and people were saying the same thing because its about a Lesbian couple.

The lesbian angle was more of a reveal, as the protagonist explored her seemingly abandoned home in an attempt to unravel the life events of her absent family.

There was another game called Gone Home that came out a few years ago and people were saying the same thing because its about a Lesbian couple. Our culture/society is still saturated with puritan values especially in regards to sexual content. Even on the left of the political spectrum, SJW's protest against sexual content that they perceive as the exploitation and/or objectification of women. LGBT sex content often given a pass by the very same people though and they can get triggered if such content isn't well received by large audiences. Obviously, in this case, I'm thinking more of the latest trend regarding "woke" movies and Hollywood blaming "toxic" audiences for box office failures. But it's all related. Indeed, organized violence and violence in entertainment media is a-ok and more widely accepted (including by ppl on the far right and far left). It's even glorified (in competitive sports). So you see, it's not all that surprising that violent games outsell and receive fewer complaints than sexualized games (straight, gay, trans, or otherwise).

I've always wondered what causes tires marks on those concrete barriers, now I know... it's BMW drivers.

In all fairness, they could have made those comments because (traditionally) you don't often see many beautiful people (regardless of race or gender) in nerdy IT roles. Beautiful people typically go for the more sexy, less nerdy jobs (sales, marketing, finance, etc). I could be wrong tho... maybe things are changing and being an IT nerd is now viewed as one of the "sexy" professions? Also, corporate america can be a hostile work environment to nearly anybody, including white males. The exception/s, of course, are the owner's relatives & close family friends (nepotism) and certain employees who kiss the right amount of a$$ in the right way. Which is why I don't work directly for corporate america and, instead, I'm a contractor. Thankfully, I don't have to put up with the politics and BS that usually goes with working corporate type jobs. There are varying degrees of discrimination (on all fronts, thanks to both BS politics and ole' fashion racism). Factor in that these companies are often led by low IQ morons (execs who got where they're at because they were born into money and were C students at prestigious universities like Harvard... think Bush Jr types - i.e. piss poor leadership), then you've got the recipe for hostile work environments and backstabbing corporate American culture. "That's life in the big city."

Asked why he almost exclusively dated hot, young, models, a candid Seinfeld replied "Because they say 'yes' when I ask them out.".
The rest of the world was nonplussed, and had no follow up question.
Lol, or so I just imagined.
But more seriously, IIRC the issue was that some were around 19, and just having the word "teen" in the age of your girlfriend is going to sound like you're maybe skating close to the edge. On the other, other, hand, it's not hard to imagine that a top model in NYC is going to have a lot on the ball, and why the hell wouldn't she be considered fully adult.
One perk of having "Seinfeld money" is not having to care what detractors think, lol.
