Unsurprisingly was as bad as the series has been for the last decade and a fake-out to boot. It was just to wipe the slate clean and get rid of all the stupid dead weight characters nobody cares about anymore and then have the final 5 minutes be a commercial for the 'Walking Dead Universe', consisting of Dead City (Negan and Maggie), Daryl Dixon, Rick & Michonne and yet another season of Fear the Walking Dead, which also has been garbage since the 2nd season, just like the main series...
Seriously though: that first season of the Walking Dead, those 6 episodes, was pretty great. Then Frank Darabont walked away because he could already see what was happening. A second season with twice as many episodes on half the budget, which started the trend of '2 people walking in the woods talking about nothing (important to the plot)' just because that's cheap to do. When Shane died so did the series. It became a zombie-soap and has been ever since. Apart from a few standalone episodes, I haven't liked anything about it in the last 10 or so seasons. I didn't even watch it properly anymore, I just couldn't, it's soooo tedious. I usually just put it on my second screen while I'm surfing the net or playing a game and even then I sighed and yelled at the screen to GET ON WITH IT. It just drags on and on and on. Even in this final season, which you would think would have plenty of stuff going on, being a finale of some sorts, had (usually 2) characters going off to the side to have a nonsensical conversation just to waste some more runtime because they didn't have anything sustantial to tell anymore.
Why didn't I just stop watching? I just wanted to know how much they'd fuck up, I've seen everything, Fear, World Beyond, Tales, just to be able to complain about the lack of quality and being able to call people stupid for still watching/liking it, lol.
