It's legalized ransomware. At some point, they're going to hit you with a message that you must subscribe to something (Office 365 most likely) or you lose access to your data on cloud storage (Microsoft's Onedrive).

MS and Apple (iPhone) have both already pulled this routine on me.

A soccer ball's probably best if you were to attempt something like this irl. You'd probably sprain your wrists trying to hit a bowling ball hard enough (to achieve enough momentum) with a golf club.
