I can't believe its been a year since Joker came out. Time flies. Only far-left critics think the Joker movie is about red pill and incels. It's not PC to admit that men (especially white men) can have problems due to being dealt a bad hand in life (i.e. shitty parents and/or growing up in bad schools & neighborhoods w/ high crime). Also, the movie suggests that some women can be abusive & mentally ill (not all women are "strong & independent"). The movie deviates from the feminist narrative of praising all women & putting them up on a pedestal (for their gender identity, rather than their accomplishments & being upstanding individuals in their communities). The movie admits that women sometimes have weaknesses & need psych help too.. in real life, this leads to an overabundance of abusive mothers, racist Karens, female rapist school teachers, etc. Basically, (the character portrayed by the Joker's mother) is admitting that women can have psych issues (mental weakness) and the critics don't like it. Never mind the fact that the same applies to men (with the psycho Joker character) in the same movie. The mainstream critics' (reviews) expose how women are elevated for their gender identity and men being trashed for theirs ("toxic masculinity"). I've read feminist articles saying that men going to the gym and building muscle is toxic masculine behavior. How ridiculous does it have to get before we say enough is enough? I'm for true equality (in the way people are treated), but this level of wokeness (criticizing men for being men) is sheer lunacy. Treating people equally (which I think most of us agree with) doesn't mean that people are actually equal... women, on average, aren't going to have more muscle than men simply due to biological science/reality, resulting from evolution and genetics. Only a science denier & fool would blame toxic masculinity for men being physically stronger, or any other physical differences between genders. imo, the guys reviewing the movie (in the link you posted) are mostly correct.. What the movie is actually about is classism and how socioeconomic environment/background (especially during upbringing) can shape an individual. They kind of glazed over the idea that maybe he had psych issues because his mother did and she abused him. I understand they probably avoided talking about this because they wanted to avoid being labeled as sexist. It's not sexist though, because his mother's mental illness could be due to her having had abusive parents as well (having abusive parents and/or being raised in bad environments has little or nothing to do with gender).

This was actually kinda good, I watched the whole thing. Pretty cool. If Michio Kaku watched it, he'd probably say that the Empire + Reapers would've won easily because they're Type 3 Civilizations (capable of harvesting energy on the galactic scale and by far the most advanced of all the groups). He might also say that Star Trek Federation's secret weapon "red matter" is complete fiction and no basis in science. Scientists have talked about "negative energy" though, an idea possibly allowing for future tech to create wormholes and/or black holes (something that could be potentially weaponized to similar effect as "red matter"). But it's currently just a hypothesis and they don't know if "negative energy" (not to be confused with antimatter or negatively charge particles, like electrons) actually exists. It's a possibility according to some math/physics though.

The Reapers could use their indoctrination on the Borg given enough time. I really wanted to finish all 3 games again but the enhanced edition is coming out next year so I am holding off.

Star Trek gives the Borg a cheat code like it does with the Federation's "red matter," except the Borg's cheat is time travel. If the Borg figured out how to hack the Reapers to discover their origin and home planet/s, they might be able to use time travel to go back and prevent the creation of the Reapers. That's a big if though.. I'm not sure if the Reapers are aware of their own origins, since they've existed for such a long time (possibly millions or billions of years), over the collapse & fall of countless space-faring biological civilizations (I haven't finished all the ME games tho, so I could be wrong).

"Incredible Universe" was a really cool electronics store (they had a couple of stores in the Dallas area in the 90's), about the size of a Fry's store. I've bought parts for PC builds from them (back then, I always bought AMD cpu's). Their stores were darkly lit, with an arcade-like or cyberpunk atmosphere, and tons of stuff on display for customers to try. There was even VR gaming on display at their store - yeah, they've been trying to get gamers to adopt VR for decades. Their computer sales ppl were indeed very knowledgeable. You could tell they actually screened the education & knowledge of employees, before hiring. I recall asking a female salesperson about hdd's & RAID configurations, and her knowledge level was detailed & expert (beyond mine at the time). It's a shame that Best Buy, with mostly poorly educated sales employees (by comparison - the "geek squad" tech crew, non-sales notwithstanding) overtook them.

Cool video and I keep meaning to drive there but the Silent Hill game had nothing to do with Centralia. That bit of lore was added by the people who made the movie. Its common now to have people retcon the Silent Hill game based on the movie but the game mentions nothing about mine fires or Pennsylvania at all.

Yeah, Joe does arm chair discussions on a wide variety of topics (he's a jack of all trades, but master of none). lol In the video, Joe said that he's not a gamer and he hasn't played Silent Hill. Actually, he even said that he didn't watch the movies, because he heard they're really bad. Well, at least he's giving the disclaimer that his info on Silent Hill is second hand.

Notice how nobody seems to pick up on the fact that "fat positive" is a double standard that only applies to women. Obviously, obesity is bad (a major health risk, leading to heart disease.. the #1 cause of death) regardless of gender. However, men generally don't want or think they should be glorified for being fat-asses (too lazy to do the work necessary to stay fit). I suppose it has something to do with the (now unspoken, taboo) dichotomy of the sexes.. Women derive most of their SMV from beauty. Whereas, men have other things (other than looks) to boost their SMV, such as ability to provide resources, status/fame/power, etc.

Like if big is beautiful why don't they want to fuck fat dudes? Fat dudes can be entitled just like women in the movement though. I have mentioned him on here before but before I ever heard of "Fat Acceptance" or the Incel movement I knew a guy who was like a combination of both. I could get my masters degree writing about that dude and all the fucked up shit he said. Imagine a fat Elliot Rodger but non-violent and you have him. I heard so much weird ass mental gymnastics for his weird philosophy of life and his rationalization that he just deserves smoking hot blonde girls no matter how fat he was. He used to look like a typical fat computer nerd in glasses but he got contacts and changed up his style so he basically looked like Hurley from Lost. If you aren't familiar imagine spending years of your life listening to this dude complain about how pretty girls are all shallow bitches for not wanting to fuck him: I've never been fat but decided to get in shape, at one point I was hitting the weights 5 days a week and bulked up. You might think he would see me do this and decide to tag along. Instead he had crab mentality and basically viewed me as a sellout or "becoming one of them". I became "bad" in his mind because I worked out. Just another "Chad" making it difficult for guys like him. lol. Would never lift a finger to change.

Rejecting self improvement while hating on other men for it.. Sounds like incel (black pill) ideology (i.e. nihilism).

Yes and this was in the early mid-2000s way before I ever even heard of Incel/Blackpill stuff. Its funny looking back on stuff as an older adult. When I was younger I thought he was just depressed about being fat but after working in the mental health field and experiencing more about life I recognize what serious depression looks like compared to his issues. His family was very well off so he could have easily afforded a personal trainer/dietician but no. "I shouldn't have to lose weight, women need to stop being bitches". That attitude is sure to lead to happiness lol. Zero sympathy. I got the weirdest dejavu when I first read portions of Elliot Rodgers manifesto after listening to that dude talk. It was creepy how similar they were. If he ever stumbled onto one of those incel sites he would probably become a head administrator lol.

Development of Halo 1 started on PC, before Microsoft bought the developer/rights to Halo and decided to release it on Xbox (and nixed a PC release, until years later). There's actual physical proof with the 3dfx Voodoo 5 I have somewhere in storage (V5's box art has images/screens straight from Halo 1, giving away the fact that its initial development was for PC).

So got some good comedy for the day.
I was streaming and a guy lost a game and got kinda mad, other guy said "Imagine getting mad at pixels" and the other guy said "Im not mad at pixels Im mad at the sound of my dick in your mouth" then it kinda escalated from there. I dunno if this guy was trolling or wtf happened but very entertaining.
Starts at 49:30 if the link doesn't timestamp lol
Its funny because in the middle of the game voice comms are location based so when I move closer to them you can hear them still arguing.
