But I'm not sure I get the "he must be defeated" part. What's the endgame here when we're up against someone who has the world's largest & most advanced (hypersonic, multiwarhead "Satan" ICBM's) nukes at his disposal? Does he tho? After the Russian militaries performance not sure he has anything. Also what secret anti-icbm tech do we have? What's the connect? Traditional/kinetic warfare vs hypersonic (up to mach 20) ICMB's (a recent technology that we don't have a counter for) seems like an apples & oranges comparison, imo. The best you could hope for is that all the people around him refuse to carry out his orders. But how likely is that, that all the people around him would be brave enough to disobey him, when he has a history of having his domestic enemies assassinated? Secret tech.. Stealth ICBM's could be possible and it seems like an avenue our govt would pursue, since that's the focus when engineering our most advanced aircraft. Else, why was this aircraft built and still taking part in military exercises? I doubt it's reconnaissance only, since satellites are advanced enough to handle most of that. theaviationist.com/2022/05/04/f-117-sentry-savannah/Either technology, hypersonic or advanced stealth ICBM's, would be tough to counter with current tech. So these technologies just means nuclear holocaust (for both sides) is all the more likely.

U.S. leadership should define "what winning looks like", since they're committing 10's of billions of U.S. taxpayer $'s to this fight. U.S govt has had this problem from Vietnam to Afghanistan.. and nope, "winning (the enemies') hearts & minds" doesn't cut it, much less win (or help our allies win) wars.

So these technologies just means nuclear holocaust (for both sides) is all the more likely. Even going back as far as the 80's, Reagan had something called "Star Wars", which was supposed to use lasers to shoot down ICBMs. But it didn't get the funding and the tech probably wasn't advanced enough back then. Our military does indeed have laser weapons now and that's the only thing the U.S. has that's faster than hypersonic missiles. Supposedly, our military is working on hypersonic missiles, but haven't caught up with the Russians yet. The Russians already know our military has lasers though and they most certainly use heat shielding materials on the outer shell of their ICBM's, since lasers kill a target with the heat they generate. A particle beam weapon could be effective at punching through any material no matter how fast it's moving (because it accelerates particles to nearly the speed of light, but impacts the target with mass/kinetic energy, rather than just heat from a focused beam of light). But that's still in the realm of scifi. Governments along with science organizations have built particle accelerators (like CERN, used for Physics experiments), so the general theory for particle beam weapons is sound. I think it's just that current particle accelerators are big circles kilometers in length and accelerates too few particles to make an effective weapon. Also, we'd likely need a much more powerful & compact energy source to be able to weaponize it. home.cern/

This country has a mental health crisis not adequately being reported or addressed. We know this because there's an unprecedented number of Americans taking prescription head meds. I'd suggest creating a law making it so psych tests & evaluations are prerequisite for registering to own firearms. Also, you shouldn't be allowed to own firearms if you're on head meds. Well unfortunately, current laws (such as, doctor/patient confidentiality) prevent these sort of new laws from being created.

This country has a mental health crisis not adequately being reported or addressed. I used to work in the mental health field, plenty of people, even those on the right will say the fix for these shootings is greater mental health care........then comes paying for it. Mental Health is one of the first things cut in any recession or just in general. There was a massive cut to mental health care in Alaska in the 1990s before I finished High School. There was a building that had a lot of workers and they sold it and moved people to a smaller building because they didn't need the space. When they rebuilt the Alaska Psychiatric Institute they made a more modern building..............and reduced the bed count. So that means less people in care and more on the street/in jail, just suffering from their issues. So glad I don't work in that field anymore. Also as a side note, when they inevitably say "We can't afford it" when it comes to greater mental health care, how the fuck are we going to afford all the extra babies forced to be born in states where they make abortion illegal after they overturn Roe vs Wade?

Well, there are two arguments about population. There's the old one about overpopulation and why we should have fewer kids vs population crashes. More recent data shows that most developed countries are facing population crashes in the coming decades and that this would severely harm their economies (due to increasing shortage of labor and consumers). It seems a strange coincidence we're seeing an abrupt reversal in societal and govt sponsored population controls with the new data about population crashes, and with Democrats controlling the executive branch and both houses of congress no less. Maybe the tin foil hats were right about shadow governments really pulling the strings behind the scenes.

I'm guessing they're relying on the fact that a lot of people these days can't do math for sh*t.

I had to uh...check out from all the negativity in the world and get back to the stuff that makes me happy. Haven't been paying attention to the news, the political youtube channels, or even the MGTOW stuff. It was all just too much doom and gloom for me to take in it was starting to drive me mad and the war in Ukraine was just enough for me seeing people blasted apart trying to flee their homes... I just had to check out on all the doom and gloom for a few months and get back to just the interests that make me happy and I feel a lot better.

I was at a BBQ today with family and pretty much everyone there was saying they are taking a big break from politics because the midterms coming up soon. It looks like Sarah Palin has a real shot at being a US congressmen, lol. Every person from Alaska was groaning.

I'm guessing they're relying on the fact that a lot of people these days can't do math for sh*t. They say the average intelligence peaked with Gen-Xer's. With the following generations, they had to make IQ tests easier to maintain the baseline score of 100.

Capitalism only works when competition is allowed, if not encouraged (for the little guys). Govt policy and law benefits the largest corporations the most, to the point of corporate welfare and 0% or ultra low taxes (for larger corporations only), and stifles small business. If you have any doubt, just look at the Covid lockdowns and who was targeted.
Perhaps large corporations gobbling up all the market share and increasing automation (fewer & fewer employees) is inevitable and we'll need UBI/Communism eventually regardless. Thing about Communism tho, every example of it to date has been even more corrupt (with even greater wealth concentration in the hands of a few) than Capitalist countries. Maybe we need a sentient AI to run the show and replace human leaders. Then everybody can plug into something like Elon Musk's Neuralink, be mind controlled by an AI, and turn humanity into a perfect ant colony. lol

I see that the SCOTUS just overturned Roe v Wade. I'm guessing the powers that be (Shadow government or whathaveyou) finally realized that things haven't been working out with China as they planned (letting China supply most of the labor and be the world's manufacturer has took a nasty turn for the worse, leading to global supply chain shortages, inflation, and weakening our economies). So they need/want a boost in domestic population to produce more laborers & consumers (and cannon fodder for WWIII should we go to war with China in the next 20-30 years). Abortion doesn't work well with repopulation goals, so ban it for the time being.
