You need the mod that lets you kill kids.
And the one that shows your current weapon on your back/hip when holstered.

I must say the STALKER music and Darker Nights mod make this game sooooooooo much better.

So if anyone is planning on playing Fallout 4 even if you have an SSD this mod is a GODSEND! I am on a 1 tb Samsung 850 Evo. One of the best disks money can buy and obviously lighting fast. However I noticed I was getting weird load times. Sometimes 30 seconds - 1 minute just to go outside in Fallout 4. I did some googling and found this: www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10283/?This dropped my load times in transitions from 30 sec-1min down to 5 seconds flat. I wish I could buy whoever made this mod a beer.

Yeesh. So I just did the "Open Season" Quest for the Nuka World DLC.....................jesus christ you could smell the gun powder. That has got to be the hardest battle in the game and I haven't got very far in the game yet.
Basically it makes every single character in the DLC go hostile including your companion if you have him with you. I was in full upgraded power armor and I still died once.

including your companion if you have him with you. fgt! hehe I travel with Ada with two gatling lasers. However the DLC introduces a new companion. He is a raider tho so he goes hostile if you attack anyone.

I don't have any 'game' DLC only the workshop and tend to only really use companions as mules when I go scavenger, apart from the max affinity perks they give you they're pretty much all fucking useless.

Not Ada. She is customizable and game-breakingly overpowered. With the higher accuracy head and 2 gatling lazers she absolutely shreds. Deathclaws are no match for her.

No ADA for me yet... I don't play uber-stealthy but I will often try to sneak about a bit, it's pretty much impossible to do with any of the companions unless you can be arsed wasting your time commanding them to stay back - pretty much negating the point of having them with you.

hehe no spoilers no worries.
Fallout 4 has multiple factions. I have been a member of all factions and kept this up for the whole game. It got to the point where you HAVE to pick a side and I tried to delay this and do other quests. I didn't want to commit.
Even tho the game has been patched a ton I managed to trigger one of the few situations that bugs the game out so bad you cannot continue. I had to fix it with the console. This bug exists on all versions of the game and if you do it on Xbox/PS4 the only thing you can do is load a save from hours before or start over from scratch.
Console commands <3.

I was tight with all factions until a few weeks ago when I drunkenly thought to myself "Fuck the BoS!" and killed everyone on the airship/at the airport... I got Danse to Sanctuary and the fact I'm now at war means my already large power armour collection is only getting bigger at a faster/cheaper rate.
Made sure I saved before it all kicked off though; will deffo be trying a few different end-games.

As long as I've been playing Fallout 4, I've never tried any mods for it. I think I found the first one I'm gonna try: www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15842/?*edit* Besides needing to update Nexus Mod Manager and edit the Fallout4custom.ini file, it installed painlessly. It's a crazy mod, combines 30 different mods and a quest that sort of adds Borderlands into Fallout 4. When you first start the game with the mod loaded, nothing really changes until you start fighting enemies. You notice they explode with confetti when they die, looting is drastically simplified and there's also floating damage numbers shown above enemies when you hit them. When the quest is triggered, you get teleported to a new area where you can toggle all the crazy options on or off. Tiny Tina and Claptrap from the Borderlands games appear, though they look very different. Probably to avoid copyright issues. Also includes a bunch of new crafting stuff like weapons and parts for settlement structures. The catch is, you have to complete the quest to get all that stuff.

Yeah I like this mod. There's options you can enable where enemies will drop loot that can be picked up instantly, including health. It makes the game feel arcadey but they were definitely going for a Borderlands-type mod for Fallout 4. The quest has some good comic relief and I even saw a few Starcraft eastereggs. Basically they combined this mod with a custom quest kinda based in Borderlands 2.

As long as I've been playing Fallout 4, I've never tried any mods for it. I mod the shit out of anything that supports it. I have never even played Fallout 3/NV/4 without a ton of mods. Even Dragon Age: Origins I modded to hell.

Yeah I used to mod the original non-SE Skyrim a lot, SkyUI and Seasons of Skyrim ENB were among my favorites. Also the improved meshes were always a must. The Tina's Cookiepocolypse mod for Fallout4 is definitely one of the most unique mods I've ever seen, just the fact that you can unlock goodies by playing the quest. There's things like parts for buildings, new weapons and extra perks or more settlement size. There's more too. The quest is alright for being fan-made but Tina's voice gets annoying at times (though the Tina character in Borderlands 2 was annoying too). Luckily she doesn't talk anymore after the quest is complete, only when you go back to unlock stuff. I'm either gonna unlock the M79 grenade launcher next, or the Buster Sword from FF7. This was one of the things I got from the mod recently (the support struts on each side of the atrium): There's different sizes of those support struts too, even bigger ones but they kinda take away from the openness.

Just tried out this mod after reading about it on PC Gamer: www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23845/?Makes it look like a horror game, very somber looking like Resident Evil and STALKER. I got the recommended trees and grass mods for it and there are now entire forests in the game that are pretty breathtaking to walk through. Especially at night which this mod makes nights very dark and atmospheric too. Framerate did suffer but not by much, I don't think I can go back to vanilla graphics again. Also, don't bother downloading the High Res Textures official DLC. It's 55 gigs and will make the total install size of the game 94 gigs. I really couldn't tell much of a difference most of the time, plus it slowed the game down. They do recommend a GTX 1080 but in the Steam reviews, even ppl with 1080's were saying it's still not worth the install size. Attachments:

That looks really cool. If I could only have two mods for Fallout 4 I would pick Darker Nights and the mod that adds the STALKER music. It made the game far more atmospheric.
As the the high res textures, I am still only on a 4 gig videocard so naw. As I have gotten older I care more about gameplay then amazing graphics so I wouldn't even bother with it.

Also I went for a second playthrough of Fallout 4 with a melee build I read about where you constantly cook and eat irradiated food on purpose. Was fun for a bit but it got VERY repetitive extremely quick. Got bored. Guns are just more fun with more variety.

I got this mod that added the Buster Sword from FF7 but it requires the Big Leagues perk to be maxed out. It also added a H&K UMP .45 SMG and an M79 Grenade Launcher which are also great. Unfortunately, whoever did the UMP mod messed up the hand placement. It's not terrible and once I'm in a firefight with it, I stop noticing that the hand isn't all the way on. Also have the RU556 assault rifle mod, it's an awesome gun with some great upgrades.

Anyone use the mods from Bethesda.net? I just bought Fallout 4. I told myself I'd just confirm my settings and then head out. Four hours later ... nVidia even has a mod/short expansion, Vault 1080 (reminds one of the videocard, said to add an hour's or so worth of gameplay), that I grabbed. I also grabbed the HD textures, long download at 3.5 MB per sec, the Atomic Radio station (hilarious, 65 voice actors), the improved pip boy map, and Everyone's Best Friend that lets you use Dogmeat as well as a companion. Supposedly a lot of the code for that is in the game as the developers were thinking of making that the default. bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4I don't have the DLC yet, waiting for a big sale, so I can't use the unofficial patch. Lol, it caused a stir when that became the new caveat. P.S. Register with Bethesda, then log into it when you start F4. From there you can download the mods.

I think you would be better off with nexus mods and nexus mod manager. Its rock solid these days. Eventually; right now I'm grooving on the more or less official experience. I'll hit up Nexus for the eye candy improvements, and add-on quests, later on. After that I'll experiment with the wilder mods.

I've had it since around when it came out, my cousin got it for me for Christmas. As far as games go, it's probably one of the best gifts I've ever gotten. IMO the game overall is great, but the story and characters are kinda weak. I've gotten most of the playing time from exploring, doing sidequests and building stuff. I did buy all the DLC while it was on sale, I played Automatron and it was a 6 or 7 out of 10. I heard Far Harbor is really good, I'll probably save that one for last.
