idk. Some of the poorest places in the world, countries in Africa for example, actually have the most kids per family. There's more to the equation of family and birthrates than affordabilty.
It's true, however, that, as a nation, we've been gradually drifting towards 3rd world nation status. Stagnant pay is a problem, but the bigger problem is insane inflation of big ticket purchases not inluded in the CPI (housing, college, healthcare, vehicles). Of course, that's all thanks to corporate greed and has nothing to do with the trillions of $'s increases in the money supply to service non-stop increases in government debt. Right?

I'd wager that in those places with extreme poverty and high birthrates, the women there aren't using dating apps because they can't afford smart phones and/or the infrastructure hasn't been built out yet, and there's probably no such thing as no-fault divorce in their legal systems.

When you aren't sure if your kids will survive to adulthood you will have more, see Western countries before the late 1800s, also we used to be a nation of farmers. For a farmer more kids = more helping hands. A lot has changed in the last 100 years in the West. Can't make a comparison to African culture. Also Corporations use inflation as an excuse to raise their prices.

Also Corporations use inflation as an excuse to raise their prices. Northern Africa is mostly desert, not much farming going on there, but birthrates are still high. Maybe there are fewer abortion clinics in Africa in general compared to the rest of the world. Indeed, increasing the money supply by trillions of $'s doesn't dilute its value one bit.
