These are based off of the Sennheiser HD580 which were the first pair of audiophile grade headphones I got back in the day. I still own a pair. They are only $150 shipped. They are supposed to be improved over the original 580 and much easier to drive.
If I didn't already own a gazillion headphones I would pick them up in a heartbeat.
