I'm really not getting this stuff from far-right sites. Thought of it 100% on my own.
Consider this, maybe I'm able to pick up on subtleties, like my calling Biden's upcoming loss or drop-out (just a day before Democrat elites Pelosi and Schumer asked him to step down), because my head's not filled with rage (for Trump or Biden).
I do think Democrats could (SO SO easily) field better candidates (better polling and just better ppl all around) than Trump, but choose not to (probably because there's a "wizard" or "wizards" behind the curtain who want a PotUS they can easily control). Color me a tinfoil.

C-c-c-c-ombo breaker! Now with Biden out does all the stuff the right said about Biden being too old and senile apply to old senile Trump? In principle, I agree there should be a physical, hard limit on age (65 y/o probably) to qualify for PotUS. Most people judge based on perception & looks tho (on stage, Trump doesn't look or sound as old as Biden). imo, that's why so few pressuring Trump to step down (even the left, mainstream media) based on his age.

His age is the least important reason why he should not be president again...

His age is the least important reason why he should not be president again... Realistically, we were talking about his senility - his ability to think and communicate clearly. The Democrat party was just trying to keep it hidden, but then his debate performance was so poor that even they had to face reality (that his senility affected his electability and, in turn, the electability of other Dems). In the US, it works against an entire party when the presidential candidate is unpopular, because many ppl choose the straight ticket option on the voting ballet (voting one side or the other, across the board).. that's why they had to get Biden out, because he would've been dragging down the entire party this November.

idk. When you look at some of the terrible VP picks we've had, a hard age limit for pres should be considered, imo. Recall, the Republicans had Dan Quayle as VP under Bush Sr. Imagine if Bush Senior kicked it (cuz he was quite old too) while serving as PotUS and we got stuck with Quayle as pres, since VP is next in line.

Well, the military has cut-off ages for various jobs, including jobs that are 99% intellectual (like doctor or engineer). PotUS is Commander-In-Chief (of the military), so why should standards be lower for the most important role of them all? hmmm..

Really puts things in perspective as someone who grew up on a miliary base. Like I'm older then my friends parents were when I was a kid and I am in my early 40s.

In an ideal world, all political parties should be putting their best candidates forward, so I 100% agree on your combo deal sentiment. However, they're not actually implementing a hard age limit (even though i think they should). They got Biden to drop out because he was dragging the party down (according to the metrics/polls). They tried their best to cover up his senility, but he couldn't even put on a mediocre performance at the debate and his polling numbers dropped too low to be ignored. It was so bad, wealthy donors were demanding refunds of their Biden campaign contributions.

Trump couldn't keep a full cabinet his whole term. He said he would "drain the swamp" and "get the best people" then there was constant turnover and he would blast people who left in ALL CAPS on Twitter. I remember Steve Bannon told Republican congressman "You have no choice but to vote for this bill"...... Some great negotiation skills www.cnbc.com/2024/08/04/trump-white-house-kamala-harris-election.html

I'm expecting that Kamala will be our next pres. Seems highly unlikely that Trump will be president again simply due to the establishment/MIC/intelligence community/deep state/etc (very powerful, permanent, behind the scenes forces in the US) can't afford to let it happen. Trump should've stayed quiet about his intentions of replacing them. The last president who publicly announced that he'd root out permanent Washington and their secret organizations, JFK, wound up dead.

I was watching a YouTuber who read all of Project 2025 and he posed a valid question. How the fuck is the government supposed to function at all if every Federal employee is replaced every 4-8 years? I remember reading all the W's on the keyboards on the computers in the Whitehouse were removed when Bush took office. I have no clue if that is a true story but I could imagine a situation where a replaced Federal employee just flat refused to train their replacement leading to a huge knowledge gap.
People salivating at the idea of firing 4,000 people in DC and replacing them all remind me of the Chernobyl scientists running tests on the reactor while it was running completely confident that absolutely nothing bad can happen.

New employees and appointees would adapt, learn, and eventually get everything back up to speed. The real concern, imo, is the left's original point about Trump wanting to be a dictator.. because replacing all key people in govt with loyal allies is really a thing that dictators do. Permanent Washington is a swamp, but that doesn't mean Trump is a good guy either. They all want power.

I think JFK wanted it for the right reasons, so that elected government would no longer be manipulated by or under control of the swamp or "secret" organizations/societies (as he referred to them). I'm not convinced the Trumps (and their future dynasty) would be doing it for the right reasons.

Jobs with the Feds are one of the last places in society to go with decent benefits, pay, and pensions. I guess a side benefit of replacing everyone in the government every time there is a new President is all of that is gone. No retirement for people who only work for 4 years. Just like the constant attacks on schools is a way to destroy teachers unions and lower pay/benefits I guess the "drain the swamp" thing is actually a way to get rid of good paying jobs?

Where did you read this? Has the theory that Trump wants to be dictator died already? yeah, I guess that would be an embarrassing (and reputation damaging) narrative to stick to if he becomes president and doesn't turn into a dictator.

Stands to reason that the narrative would change as we get closer to the election - after everyone's accepted that he's running. I suppose the dictator thing was just part of a broader fear tactic to prevent him from running. But it didn't work and he's running, so now let's forget (Trump = dictator) was ever a widespread narrative across many mainstream news sources. His record doesn't support him being a dictator, having issued fewer executive orders than many past presidents (including D's like Carter, Obama, or Clinton). slackercentral.freeforums.net/post/36348

Trump himself refuted any support of Project 2025, so maybe that (about him replacing all federal employees) is just a phony media narrative as well. Actually sounds fake the more I think about it.

Regardless of other recent narratives.. I think Trump is a RINO, based on decades of his own statements before he entered politics and then some during his presidency (leaked audio of behind closed door meetings with Democrats). He's basically controlled opposition. The act is pretty good though. Good enough to fool millions of ppl.

Seriously, the former PotUS and Commander-in-Chief got impeached for refusing to deploy military weapons? I missed that one. There has to be more to this story because Commander-in-Chief supposedly has authority on deploying military (troops & weapons). I know the PotUS has sole authority on the nuclear button. constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay/artII-S2-C1-1-11/ALDE_00013473/

Every empire in existence has fallen. Roman Senators alive during the last year of the Roman empires existence didn't realize they were going to be the last. They thought it would go on forever. Whether Project 2025 is real or not, I realized a long while ago that we're an empire in decline. imo, the catalyst for our fall will be the massive debt creation, thanks to both corporate and social welfare. Just look at www.usdebtclock.org/ again if you have any doubts or questions about social welfare being by far the biggest chunk of spending/debt. Corporate welfare is oft mistaken for capitalism these days, but let's remember that most corporate rights & welfare (and corporations themselves) were created well after the US Constitution came into being. What we have now is a million miles from textbook capitalism. Instead of competition, we have consolidation (of wealth at the top) and government aiding them just about every step of the way (govt itself being corporate captured to a large extent). All other forms of government eventually de-evolve to this same state, with the majority of wealth in the hands of a few. In practice, you never end up with the ideal, textbook version of a socioeconomic system. Greed invariably takes hold - all empires, no matter the system, fall eventually.

We'd be lucky to last as long as the shortest of these empires. The longest-lasting empires in history include: - Byzantine Empire (330 - 1453 A.D.); ~ 1123 years
- Holy Roman Empire (800 - 1806 A.D.); ~ 1006 years
- Zhou Empire (1046 - 256 BC); ~ 790 years
- Ethiopian Empire (1270 - 1974 A.D.); ~ 704 years
- Carthaginian Empire (814-146 BC); ~ 668 years
- Khmer Empire (802 - 1431 A.D.); ~ 629 years
- Pandyan Empire (1850 years)
- Silla Kingdom (992 years)
- Abyssinian (Ethiopian) Empire (665 years)
- The Ottoman Empire (600 years)
- The Roman Empire (499 years)
If humans manage to colonize space, they'll most likely break off from us, like in "The Expanse" scifi series. Elon, a while back, said something about him becoming the president of Mars someday. And what could we do about it if he does? Launch nukes at each other from millions of miles away - alot of good that'd do.
