I played the crap out of Red Orchestra 1 back in the day. Hope this one is good. I miss the days of when those kinds of games were still new. Counter-Strike might've been the one that started it all, or at least helped pioneer all the games that would follow. I remember one mod I really liked was Action Half-Life, though I still tended to play Counter-Strike and Red Orchestra more. *edit* Speaking of early days of multiplayer FPS's, SkyNET was one of the earliest FPS multiplayer games I remember that had vehicles. The singleplayer was pretty good too, though the live-action cutscenes were corny and had bad acting. Also the sound effects were subpar and repetitive. SkyNET was made by Bethesda around the same time as Elder Scrolls 2, and I can definitely see some of its influence in Fallout 3 and 4. People kinda stopped playing the multiplayer quickly though, which was kind of disappointing.
