Lol, youtube is already overflowing about that, also: Disney damage control already kicked in...
Yeah, well, who do you think watches (these) movies anyway? If black females were interested enough in movies to wanna write about them, I'm sure there would've been plenty of black female movie reviewers by now...
I wanna talk about doing nails, but I don't want to talk any women about it.

Bingo. The leftist PC argument is that racism prevents more minorities from being hired (particularly, in tech/engineering). But as the English would say, that's bollocks. The reality is that companies are clamoring to fill tech jobs with minorities and women. And they do (in regards to hiring minorities), mostly with Indians (from India) and Asians. You see, most companies in the U.S. these days have diversity policies and quotas requiring HR to seek out minorities & women candidates, and to hire them over any equally (possibly, more) qualified white male candidates. The difficulty fitting more women into these tech positions (...and scifi/comic critics, and other nerdy traditionally male stuff) is simply due to relatively few women pursue these. The pool of female candidates is very limited. i.e. Not racism or sexism. The female candidates are scarce by their own choosing. True fact, but the liberals want to argue it's racism & sexism, so they can create further division in the country and rally their base (fueling them with seething hatred, based on generally false premise).

Funny enough, if you had a 99% chance of winning yesterday, and a 98% chance of winning today, you're chances of winning would be approaching zero. He's "no math scientist" as Jimmy Dore refers to his own lack of ability to crunch numbers.

That's funny because they saying the same thing prior to the last election, all the way up until the final results were in and Trump won. The media's spin on the presidential election is especially going to be a hard sale this go around, if the unemployment rate remains at record lows. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying Trump is directly responsible for the nearly two decade long "jobless recovery" (under Bush & Obama) to finally no longer be jobless. Just saying, the age-old argument "it's the economy, stupid" has some merit. Of course, economics can be highly unpredictable and a lot could change in a short time, so the outcome of next election is anybody's guess.

He's "no math scientist" as Jimmy Dore refers to his own lack of ability to crunch numbers. imo, it's not a question of math skills. They know what they're doing. They're trying to influence the election. If they can get people to believe he has zero chance of winning, fewer of his supporters would bother to show up at the polls. The only problem is that they tried the same bit last election and the tactic doesn't work, because they don't have peoples' trust anymore than govt does. People have been waking up and started seeing through the media's bullshit. They know the media is part of the establishment. This is why Sanders would've had a good chance of winning, if the DNC had picked him over Hillary. Because people know Bernie has his own ideas and they could see that he had the integrity to stand by them, and actually try to make America better (rather than maintaining the status quo that the establishment practically demands of all candidates). Of course, that's why he wasn't picked. It's never ending loop of corruption to keep the system in place. The establishment makes sure status quo is maintained by giving us two garbage candidates to vote for. More & more, it seems that Democracy and the idea that we choose our own govt is an illusion at best.

Honestly, I think we have the Federal Reserve to thank for low unemployment (even if they did this unwittingly). It's too much of coincidence that Fed rates go up and unemployment goes down just after Trump's elected. Rates going up means that borrowing money to dump into stocks or stock buybacks becomes less attractive to business. Instead, they sell/dump their existing stock, then use that money to expand business and increase hiring.
The lower unemployment probably has little to do with Trump's tariffs and protectionism, since it's not having the desired effect... our trade deficits with our largest trade partners has actually gone way up.
Last election, I was favoring 3rd party candidates like Jill Stein. But I didn't vote last election, because I relocated just a few months before the election and the state I moved to had restrictions on voting based on length of residency. Next election, I probably won't vote Trump (unless the DNC gives us Hillary again) because of the ridiculous welfare for the rich (low or no taxes) with a national debt in excess of $22 trillion is the definition of insanity. Things look ok in the short-term. However, continuing with debt that high and allowing it to spiral out of control is a recipe for economic disaster in the long-term.

Unimployment is based on how many people are collecting. When people collect the maximum they are thrown off unimployment thus the government thinks they have a job. Throw 800,000 people off in a 6 month period and the clown in the WH says he put those people back to work. But this should be in "off topic" not the picture thread
