This song came up on one of my Spotify daily playlists, really wowed me:
I had forgotten all about this band.

Stumbled on this ambient track years ago and with a little googling found out its by the lead singer: Same here, I remember really being into them but then eventually went to other music. I listen to lots of post rock kind of stuff though, I really like Mogwai too. They have lots of songs, I made a playlist and it's almost 100 songs now. I've found a lot of good post rock and ambient type music on Spotify, but I will probably cancel it and go to Google Music instead. It costs the same and I have found many songs on it that are not on Spotify. One thing I like about it, if I am playing music on the Windows 10 app, I can sync my phone to it and change the songs playing from my phone. I'm not sure if Google Music does that or not.

What makes it so difficult is that humans aren't strict herbivores. Vegan = human trying to behave like a herbivore. lol The human body (unlike a bunny, deer, gorilla, cow, etc.) is incapable (on the genetic level) of synthesizing all 20+ amino acids (the building blocks of protein). No single plant-based food contains all of the amino acids. Thus, a vegan's diet must be precisely monitored & controlled and highly varied to ensure proper intake/balance of all essential amino acids. Also, I wager they'd probably have to take vitamin supplements (like iron and B vitamins, which meats are rich in) to stay healthy.

I stopped eating processed kinds of meats (including but not limited to pepperoni, sausage, and bacon) and I am already seeing a positive difference. My face used to get very oily but after I stopped eating bacon and sausage, my face no longer gets as oily. I still eat meat, just not processed meat.
I tried those Beyond Burgers, both from the store and also the Carl's Jr's around here are or were selling them. They aren't bad but if you look at the nutrition info, they have a shitload of sodium and saturated fat, perhaps even more than actual meat. I understand what they were going for with them, and they are a very impressive product. I've heard that many vegans and vegetarians don't tend to eat them because they are too similar to meat.

Despite getting horribly sick Vegan is so key to her identity that she admits she lost herself. Its like religion. Facts don't matter, its who she was so she couldn't back out.

Vegans are dropping like flies Only read the title of the video to formulate my response: good! I just hope it's the vocal ones...

The thing about Corruption is that it isn't just a U.S. problem. It's a world problem. I feel that I should point that out, since all of these videos posted here lately are about corruption in the U.S. imo, we probably look worse relative to other countries (like Russia, Greece, etc.) because we have a bit more transparency here and the sh!t sometimes gets exposed here. Whereas, if you try to bring corruption to light in other countries, like Russia, you're either beaten down or assassinated. Many Americans fear (rightfully so and myself included) that corruption is worsening in the U.S. and we're becoming like that, where being a whistle-blower can have serious consequences.
Back when I was going to college, I experienced some of it first-hand working at an office (data entry) for trucking company in PA. One of the managers was trying to have me to enter loads for drivers who didn't have the proper licensing and certs, which was clearly a federal crime. I refused (because committing a federal crime isn't worth it, not for a $10/hr job or anything. lol). Then he asked the old lady across from me to do it and she did without hesitation. Anyway, I told the temp agency about it and that I'd like them to find me a job elsewhere. Instead, after my last day at the trucking company (i did everything right and put in a 2 weeks notice), the temp agency blacklisted me and flat-out told me they wouldn't be working with me. You could make the case that it's possible (if not likely) that my outcome would've been better if I hand went along with the corruption instead of trying to bring it to light. But it's not worth it to me personally. After that, having difficulty finding another job at the time (since this was at the peak of the last recession in an economically weak rust-belt region), I simply took more classes and finished college more quickly.
Here's the trailer to a series ("This Giant Beast That is the Global Economy") about corruption. I've watched a couple of episodes of it on Prime and it's pretty good. It does a good job of explaining corruption, while being entertaining... they bring a variety of actors/comedians to do parody skits, explaining corruption in simplified terms.

Oh yeah I spent 10 years working in the mental health field getting people access to the (very limited) services we have in this country. One time I literally picked someone up and dropped them off at work and they told me to go in the computer and mark down that I had done an hour of "social skills training" lol. Playing the game.
Also that N.C. politician has spent months saying the "liberal media" are sore losers blah blah. Then his own son throws him under the bus. Crazy.

The video with that woman reminds me of the appearance of the famous chef/confectioner, Schweddy, on a PBS cooking show. He had the ladies drooling when he unwrapped his package for them.
